An American Muslim teamed up with the Salvation Army to help feed the hungry in the Washington DC area. I know that this gentleman's charitable spirit is found in many of the 6 million co-religionists in the United States.

Obviously the magnitude of this benefactor's good works is what merits the news coverage but I want my fellow Americans to know that this generosity is not an isolated incident.
It's not isolated because Islam teaches the value of service to one's fellow man in the form of help and charity. This is an accurate reflection of Islam.

I am surprised that in such a rich country, people can still be hungry
